not amazing skating but the editing is nice, the pop up trick indicator should be used more selectively though.

obviously the guy has a lot of talent but the concept is slightly cheesy and seems like something only a non-skateboarder would make... can't deny the good song choice and raw talent though, just bun the popup trick writing imo

Trav (or anyone), what tune is this? Video was big, would have preferred it to be longer though.. and the freeze frames got a bit long after a while, I prefer the way 411 movies did their educational tips back in the day, that used to be jokes.

Ive been skating for over 7 years so yeah, im not a 'non skater'

apologies about it being cheesy

it was never intended as a skate video or skate promo

its more a showcase of my motion graphics/live action skills to show companies who may wish to hire me, I chose skating cus its something I have heeps and heeps of dv tapes full of.

I kinda wanted to approach a style of something maybe bigger tv channels or corporations would like maybe to direct at non skaters who would like to understand or learn the tricks could be used for advertising or anything fashion/sport/lifetsyle related.

Imagine a tennis player swinging his racket, freeze frame shows the racket hes using.... etc

Completely an experiment.

I'm the guy at start and last trick for anyone who doubts I skate. (ANd yes I am aware i bailed first gap, it was huge and well sketchy)

thanks for the feedback

matt the song is burial distant lights.

safe :D

reminds me of the Adio vid a lot.... ahhhh Jeremy Wray and Kenny Anderson. Shame their shoes are shit. The zooming and distance with the fisheye are soooo early 90s or earlier. Less bum shots would be nice, from both a skaters and a nonskaters point of view.

Feeling the sorta dynamic typography thing fo sho, agree with the guy who says the freeze frames got a bit long though.
