Gentlemen of Bacongo

These dudes are the illest, its that simple. On Thursday evening the exhibition space at the Londonewcastle gallery played host to the book launch of Daniele Tamagni's 'Gentlemen of Bacongo'. Many people have tried to document the cultural phenomenon that is going on in Congo. But I think this book does a pretty good job of explaining how amazing it actually is. For these guys style comes before literally anything else...

As great as these pictures are it's still important to remember Congo is a country with some serious issues. Hopefully this book will help raise awareness of whats going on and maybe encourage more support from the west.

    Amazing! I've got to get the book, a real shame I didn't know about this earlier, would have loved to of reached that exhibit.
