KAWS “Saturated” Show Opening

...taking place at the Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin in Miami and capturing the spirit of lovable characters Spongebob and The Smurfs.
Is modern pop art just that? Saturated?. And is Kaws' own material still original? Has he put crosses over just about every character known to man? Is that even imaginative in the first place?

  2. I feel you on that, Tan.

But I have to admit the companions are nice...Then again as a kid I had action figures so there lies the obsession.

Now, who wants to buy me the storm trooper companion?

  3. Kaws' street work is legendary for the way it forces the viewer to question what they're looking at. Take that interaction from an intrusion to your daily life, and put into a gallery and it loses everything

Vinyl toys and printed garments... they for tweenagers
