  1. After a spell in the wilderness:

I hope UK emcees have learnt to focus on 'entertainment'. don't want to hear a lecture on the Gaza conflict or a third-eye-vision history of Atlantis on a Saturday night.

Hope the DJ has a mix of genres in the bag, not just a jukebox of 'golden-era' classics.

Hope the support slots keep it really really really insanely short and lively.

Hope the emcees don't continually look for crowd affirmation, recognition and participation (what other genre does that?! - )

    sorry for the lecture...

I agree with every point, especially the constant affirmation and crowd participation UK hip hop acts love

  5. ... oh and I forgot... 'NO ACCAPELLAS!!!'
That's a 'live UK hip hop' crime right there...

(other than Skinny cause it's practically his calling card)

  7. Ironically two of the guys that actually get what I'm on about and can make it work, are just hosting rather than doing a PA...

  9. Ye, Mystro is the main culprit for crowd hyping, not letting a tune just run and heads nod.

    No hate.

Fair dues... fair point. It's just him and Jargs keep it lively and avoid 'ancient-mystical-stone -henge-serpent-history-overstanding' accapellas.
