The Warriors turns 30/Neil Bedford Images

Whenever I hear talk about a Warriors2, Warriors Sequel or a Warriors Music Video I cringe. Not because I dislike the film or anything but the saying 'if it ain't broke don't try and fix it' has never been more true than when talking about a Warriors remake. Also artists should be banned from using this as basis/influence for their music videos....Eminem and D12 did a great job of bringing it up to date in Fight Music but the most recent one i've seen was the terrible video from Lady Sovereign (hold tight Stussy and Mishka on the product placement, its a great look?!).

If you didn't know this year is the 30th Anniversary of this classic film. And whenever your around me it doesn't take me long before the subject of my conversation turns to film. The Warriors is for sure cemented in my top 10 all time great movies. I cant go into how much love I have for this film.

There has been rumour flying round about a UK version being made but again its just a rumour. If they get it right it has potential to be epic. Ecko seems to have won the rights to produce Warriors Apparel, i've seen some of the bits and some are nice.

In my search for anything else interesting I stumbled across The FADER blog and found THIS an amazing interview with all the people behind the making of The Warriors. If you have time it is definitely worth a read.

Then I came across this...

King Apparel isn't really my thing but the image is amazing, saying that most of the images used for the King ad campaigns are on point. The man behind them all is Neil Bedford. His online portfolio can be found HERE and its worth peeping to check out the other interesting projects he's worked on.

  2. Yeh i have a name too.

I just hope they get it right man. BNTL needs to star no doubt.

  3. Warriors is over-rated. King apperal is the worst thing out of the uk since witts' club photography and Ecko killed a whole load of worthwhile brands.

  4. BNTL is a detriment to certain brands, alot of people read this blog and take opinions from it. Not saying you shouldn't voice your personal opinions on here, but just keep in mind, it doesn't do brands like King any favours, and seeing as we're all in this together, everyone should be helping everyone as much as possible.

  5. What are you talking about? Its my personal opinion. I dont expect anyone to take my opinion as gospel.

I respect every brand featured on this blog, they are all doing their thing but if you expect me to endorse them all then i'd be lying.

  8. Lols at Anon hating on my club work..

Try arguing with some International publications in a month or two ;o)

This post did not disrepect King in anyway, Ollie merely stated his personnal opinion. If you actually knew Ollie its quite obvious that King wouldn't really work with his general attire.

Big up the people at King apparel, they've got an excellent marketing team who've pin pointed their target customer using some very influencial people to promote their excellent products.

  13. UK warriors is OBVIOUSLY not going to be good.
    Surely people can forsee this?!
Theres ABSOLUTELY no way a UK adaption of the original concept and script is going to be good. It might sell buts its not going to be cinematically revelled as a classic film...

and they backing dancers who totally GAAAAAYED!!! up the baseball furies should be shot dead!!

its like me making a club track with Darth-terminator-rambo-van-damme backing dancers, would be a laughing stock!

  18. The last DVD release of the Warriors was made of fail. Why the fuck did Walter Hill put in those comic book frame fades? I know he said he always wanted it to look like this but I had to re-buy the old release.

    I was fully wounded.
