Represent or Be Kast Out.

Quite simply, GARGANTUAN IN THE GAME.

Outkast feat. Marsha Ambrosious (of Floetry)- The Art of Storytelling Part 4

Andre 3000, as an emcee, stuns my senses every goddamn time (riveting vocals, delivery, wordplay, lyrical imagery). Big Boi brings the brilliance too. The beat's a certified anthem. Gauranteed one of my favourite songs of the year. Play till the sub-woofer shakes your soul and you too can attain my level of current euphoria.
*Two Nivea-enriched thumbs up*

If they don't bump this rousing rap aria in the clubs (referring to our usual 'trendy' haunts complete with a distinguishable minority of pretentious bandwagonista*** pricks/prickettes despondant of genuine musical enthusiasm), then someone's gonna have to resort to impaling suckah DJs with their own stylus.

"She said, why in the clubs you don't make it precipitate, you know, make it rain when you could make a thunderstorm, I'm like why, the world needs sun..."- Andre 3000

A seasonal audio-good-will gesture: FEEL the music or get chopped up and stuffed inside a fluffy Christmas stocking for your nephews and nieces to find on Yuletide morrow.

***Freshly coined for you fuckers, you know who you are; it takes more than pics of retro kicks & 80s Jamel Shabazz photographs you found in google images to plaster on your skank social networking profiles. Passion is paramount.
Death to Hip-Hop Charlatans.

P.S. I look forward to seeing my real heads down at Mos Def's more intimate gig @ Islington Academy on Sunday. Rumour has it from accounts of last night's Shepherd's Bush show that Mighty Mos will be dropping fresh MADLIB PRODUCED MATERIAL (including a joint called Auditorium) from his forthcoming LP allegedly titled The Ecstatic... I'm forewarning you- wear padding and hold onto your girl tight.

musical snobbery Kesi Charles? don't talk fraff. i ain't runnin' no hip-hop dictatorship, re-examine what i'm saying.

i'm actually commenting on the kinda people you & I both know who try to CLAIM love for a sub-culture (and whatever your orientation, be it hip-hop head, grime head, sneaker head etc.), when we know they're just hypebeasts cos when the real zeal is put into perspective: their heart is wet mash potatoe. fake fucking beggits.

and as for Starry Eyed Person, ya kna what, the grapevyne informed me Friday's Mos was mad dissapointing, and I just got back from the one at Islington tonight... it was a relatively identical set I believe and in my opinion poorly structured (it shoulda' been classic after classic, allow the obscure or sub-par material which coulda' been saved for the middle, and also allow the original Kanye breaks section, as much as my heart is rooted in hip-hop/soul breaks I didn't pay for that, I payed to see hear shit Mathematics and Do It Now and Climb and The Panties- all heartbreakingly absent).

I feel thy pain.

On a positive note, Mos is one loveable motherfucker, suprisingly humble. And the forthcoming material from his next LP is sounding like straight crack cocaine on wax. I love it. The Madlib joint was beautiful (lifting the best beat off Beat Konducta in India). zoop.

shan. ur a music snob. full stop. anyone who can't name the hip hop singles of fucking 600 BC '' knows nothing about music''.

but, i get your point about the fakes.

also. i did tell you that the mos concert would be a dissapointment. when i saw him a few years ago he didnt quite cut it then, and i knew not much would have changed.

im just pissed off that my main man john holts concert is SOLD OUT. now that would of been special.

Damn theres some deepness in these comments.
I believe there needs to be a conference to sort out all this fakism goin on right now. BUT who is the original, whos knows more than who, whos subculture reigns supreme????
I think the answer is individuality, thats whats key. As long as your ture to what you believe in then thats what matters.
Pushing your agendas on ppl is lame, im not sayin any1 is doin that here but out there it goes on day in day out.

Regarding mos defs concert...i was offered tickets from day 1 and i knew he wouldnt cut it live. Still a lyrical genius tho. The only guys who bring fire to the stage STILL is dilated. Anyone else seen them and know what im talking about?
