Friday night saw my first trip to Terminal in the Jewellery Quarter and i'm pretty impressed, one issue though, a no hoods or caps door policy was an absolute joke, how can this be possible for a Dubstep night?
With my jacket removed I was pretty thankful the heavy Funktion1 sound system was warming with bass. Early doors sets from Somantix & SDC went down nicely, then at 12 Walsh stepped up and hurt the dancefloor. Plenty of new dubs resulted in the camera being put away!
Next up was Hijack and again he smashed up the dancefloor, I was expecting something deep but he went straight for the grimey, hard hitting smash your face in tunes.
As the manic dancefloor antics continued Jason X passed by and reloaded far too many tunes for my liking and finally the night was finished off by Standfast, travelling from Nottingham for the graveyard shift showed some dedication and proved imediately the trip was worth it. Definitely the best resident of the night starting off with Ed Solo - Age of Dub and dropping some absolute filth.
One thing I have to point out is the roof lighting system in Terminal, like nothing ive seen before.. constantly changing colours and patterns, definitely adds nice feel to the club
A big night for Dubstep once again, roll on the next Dubstep Warriors in March with Cluekid & Jack Sparrow.
