Last week i had the pleasure of attending the Somerset House where Esquire held a exhibition in which they invited 18 leading fashion designers to work with an artist or creative talent of their
choosing, to co-create one-off bespoke suits that challenge the form of men’s suiting.
The exhibition included unique design collaborations by Graeme Fidler of Aquascutum with Antony Gormley, Frida Giannini of Gucci with Mark Ronson, Paul Smith with Richard Woods, Richard James with Spencer Tunick, Donatella Versace with James Clar, Dolce & Gabbana with Ron Arad. Pretty nice turn out but the best part of the night was the pleasure of receiving their goody bag with a special edition hard copy of Septembers issue.
This issue has a heavy presence from one of my favorite designers Ralph Lauren
The suits will be exhibited at Somerset House from 31 August. Free admission, open daily 10am-6pm.
For directions just click
Each suit has been photographed for the September issue of Esquire, so if you dont manage to get down to the exhibition just pick up a copy, which should be on sale from tomorrow August 6.
