OAAWOD: Deadstock Heaven

A couple of weeks ago I paid a visit to a little store called 'The Other Side of the Pillow' that I heard was selling a serious amount of deadstock sneakers. After hitting up google maps for assistant in locating the store I rocked up and was pretty amazed. The store has an insane amount of sneakers in all shapes, sizes and brands. If you're into your rare vans then this store will definitely have a pair for you.

The store gave me faith in sneaker collecting again, no hype, no mad cues outside, no central location with huge footfall.....just a couple of guys selling sneakers.

004

The guys behind this store are Henry Davies and Maurizio Di Nino and they both know their stuff. On my first visit I was in there for about an hour just chatting about favourite sneakers and how they amassed so many pairs. The second time I came equipped with my camera and Episode 2 was born....

Out & About w/Ollie Danger Episode 2 from Ollie on Vimeo.

This is their personal collection so once the stock goes it goes forever. The store has been there for nearly 2 months so hurry down there before the hordes.

The stores location:

61 Wilton Way
Hackney
London
E8 1BG

There blog is coming soon and you can follow that

ain't about going far to be disappointed

What a slyly negative comment on Ollies post Lego. Dont be bitter because Ollie is doing these and your still at school.

Unnecessary!

1. the stores in e8 i live in se2 thats a trot for me fact.

2. i'm thinking realistically, i'd rather make the effort to go there and know i'm in for a chance to actually get something in my size & at a decent price than to go there and get there and find nothing in my size.

3. where would the bitterness come from ? these videos are serious and im just as impressed as everyone else is dangers my fam.

4. as for school that don't start for another 2weeks and iv just come back from 2 weeks of working and doing it big in nyc

so next time allow chatting shit, its not appreciated or needed.

I really like the look of this shop, Ollie can you provide an address please so I can take a visit?

The address is in the video but i'll add it to the end of the post to avoid confusion.

Lego the prices are mad fair, like £50 for a pair of UK8 Sk8 hi's circa 1980. As i said in the post these are real guys no hypebeasting in site.

The Tulsa print is a sick find and im sure they've got more to bring out.

none of those vans look remotely wearable

in fact, most of them look like they'd fall apart carrying them home on the tube

EXM I didn't realise it was at the start didn't even watch the intro too closely.
