This Thursday at Slam City Skates (Neals Yard, Covent Garden) sees the premiere of Henry Edward Woods' skate video 'Writers Block', featuring a collective of promising young London based skateboarders. I asked David Yap, who features on the video, a couple of questions about the project and here's what he said..
"Concrete poets is all about a bunch of friends in London skating, having a good time, trying to get as much footage done but still thinking why the very first reason we all picked up a board..for the pure love of it..
Its going to be available on dvd in roughly 3 weeks time. You can buy copies for only a fiver in ALL GOOD SKATE STORES including; Slam City Skates and The Story Store in Sheffield.
It took around a year and a half to film.."
The video features footage of Shaun Curry, Greg Conroy, Kyle Edwards, Faris Hassen, Scott Howes, Jin Shimizu, Brett Star, "The Swedish heads", David Yap and friends.
