NOT BEING FUNNY OR NOTHING MATE...

..but, last night was disgusting!

P1200109

I arrived at Oxford Circus around 8ish, and waited for companions. During my wait some odd rock band started playing a few metres in front of me.. Which made time move a little bit slower. Re-inforcements arrived and we headed to Marketplace for 'Livin Proof', billed as a night of True School Hip-hop.. We get there, and 90% of the space is filled by wooden furniture, not ideal for a hiphop night, when we arrived it felt like we'd walked into a restraunt.. ignoring that we sat down and waited patiently for things to heat up. 45 minutes of soul tracks later, Magdi started his set, kicking it off with 'Sixth Sense'..a couple of cuts later he drops 'Rock The Boat' which resulted in a few confused faces. Soon after, the crowd got what they turned up for and started beating one another up.. 'all in good fun, troop'. The space in front of the DJ booth was a battle-zone, with everyone shouting their favourite bars and gesticulating wildly. Seriously one of the best sets/crowds for a while, intimate as it was an 'every man for himself' mentality was instilled.. too many big tracks to list. If you missed it, they are doing it all over again in 2 weeks time, I reccomend wearing wellingtons and body armour.

Honestly Matt, sometimes I wonder if you have some kind of agenda with all these butters photos of me you insist on showing the world...

Vanity aside, last night was definitely up there on my 'Best Birthdays Ever' list. Thank you boys for coming down. Here's to many more.
