American Apparel -Halloween Party

It was the annual American Apparel party last night and i decided to rock up. Not really one to indulge in these sort of affairs but the free drinks was all I needed to hear to persuade me.

It all started at the Shoreditch store where the drinks were provided and the outfits were paraded. From there it was onto Cargo for a anything goes knees up.

There were some amazing outfits on show and with the good came the terrible...

014

People were going crazy for the free drinks, remember the scene in Requiem for a Dream where they're waiting to collect the batch of heroin I think and they are looking plain 'hungry'...

013

Outfits...

019

King Kong (well his hand anyway)...

021

Someone forget to shake?...

023

Sally came as a princess. Boring!...

018

Kesi and Gynelle reppin...

025

Jess as the girl from Pulp Fiction I believe...

022

Who could that be?....

020

And the winner for me by a huge margin was Ben as Prince, he had the dance moves and everything going on...

Big night!

More mileage..

Made early morning movements to Ealing to link up with Bashy.. for his Butterz interview.. that should surface sometime next week...

DSC_6079[2]

Bashy was a very safe guy with alot of valid points and opinions, so keep checking Butterz (probably the best Grime blog in the world?) for when that write up lands..

After a trip to Ealing Bdway BK, which for the record has the worst seating crisis ever seen in a fast food establishment, headed back to west central to link and shoot my boy Ryan aka Skillit to accompany the release of his album (which is available for free download a few posts down and also on his myspace - www.myspace.com/thatguyskillit < CLICK)..

Bigger Than Barry: Trouble and Bass

The New York invasion was messy, from across the pond came an across the board set from Trouble & Bass. Ranging from bassline, grime, electro and dubstep, Where's my money and Eastern Jam were obviously huge hit's in my eye's.

Not the busiest of Barry's but definitely some real party vibes, hold tight the Barry crew for getting absolutely wasted and still persisting with the DJ'ing and due to the clocks going back we got a bonus hour of injury time, Sam managing to squeeze in some R Kelly (not that I was skanking!).

I think this pretty much sums up the night:

Final shout to Grace who was so so drunk, my condolences go out to your phone.

"The Mother Of All Paper Fights"

What do you get when you,
take a class of 30 something BA Graphic degsign students,
split them into 4 teams,
give each team a different coloured pack of 750 A4 paper,
then send the teams off to create various weapons and defense pieces
for 5 hours with the paper
and then tell them to be back for later for a paper WAR.

Il tell you what you get, you get "The Mother Of All Paper Fights"
Ill let the pictures tell the story a bit better.

(The orange team, my team the best fucking team ! )

Damien Hirst – Other Criteria

With his bank account recently expanding like Vanessa Felt's stomach after a little snack of two live chickens and a glass of sun flower oil.
The world famous Damien Hirst recently opened up his own gallery space on Bond Street.

Consisting of his own work which is up for sale (if you got the money), and in the near future various other artist who will be hand picked by Damien Hirst himself.
The gallery space it self is relatively small but works very well in my opinion. Consisting at the moment of original hand signed prints, x-ray scans, large paintings and the famous artistically designed skulls which are placed in glass cases and so to the item which every girl should want, the famous Damien Hirst charm bracelets.

The gallery space is opened daily, but I must state it is not a exhibition, but a gallery space so items I've talked about in the post may have been sold on before you even have read this post.

ALL CAPS INDIAN SUMMER LOOK BOOK!!

We started this in late September, after NUMEROUS delays.. and have just finished it.. The lookbook was supposed to drop in Summer '08, but as Summer didn't really drop this year, nor did the lookbook... But here are all the images. Starting in Harrow On The Hill..

Then our second shot was at Barbican. We purchased a Roman Gladiator helmet, to go with our MF DOOM inspired photo.. After hours of trying to seperate the helmet from the mask we took the following -

- At this point we escaped for a short city break in NYC.. and you know how that goes. We were meant to shoot Statten Island rapper 'AC' for the 'Get 'Em' tee, to affirm the Shaolin to London connection, but it didn't come off for various reasons....... *ahem*..

Anyway - 3rd shot we decided to shoot Timi in the Black Glens crew in and around the Waterloo - Elephant & Castle vicinity -

For the 4th shoot we shoot Lexington Steele of Accrobeau, posed as a fisherman.. we originally tried to do it on the Putney banks, but we lost light, and had to reschedule.. So ended up doing it on the London Beach Southbank side -

5th shot, and we got a off licence owner in Brockley to wear the grey Glens crew.. After initially rebuffing our requests, he crumbled under pressure.. and finally agreed -
