it's just a ridiculous question, how can you answer that? another discussion on reality television? it's a bit obvious. it's very hard to be insightful about a topic that has been debated to death.
i think "religion" itself is pretty crap an can be blamed for alot, through the way man has used it to control people, but having a belief, a faith even a dicipline is vital, whether thts classed as "religion" opinions vary
He evidently does understand quite alot becuase this man is reading darwin and philosophical literature of that calibre while you still read anon comments on the blogosphere.
He just evidently had some difficultly expressing his thoughts as elequently as you would have liked
being asked those things on the spot would be hard for someone very intelligent to form and present. but that is not to say that the guy is not intelligent. as you say from the type of books he's choosing to read he can't be stupid!

Interviews were too long could have had more questions, shorter answers. Im sure parkinson took a while to get to where he was . But at least this guy is out there doing different stuff instead of those boring 'what are you wearing type things down carnaby st' bore off
