The Gardens were founded by The University of Valencia in 1567 in order to carry out research and ever since have grown rapidly with thousands of different species of plants and flowers coming from all around the world.
Plants and Flowers are not everyones thing and by no means am I interested in becoming the next Alan Titchmarsh, but if you are ever in Valencia and dont fancy trapesing through hoards of museums, for the price of 1 euro you can enjoy a couple of hours of tranquility surrounded by tropical flowers and hundreds of stray cats.
