THEY NEVER KNEW ABOUT US ENGLISH KIDS!

Posting them Ramson bits the other day reminded me of my first full introduction to UK Hip Hop 8 years ago, SKITZ' COUNTRYMAN. Id been out of school for a year and was working in shops round Kingston and Richmond skating, painting and blazing dro, and this was the soundtrack.

It is start to finish full of bangers. If you dont know about this album you missed out, and should straight away get on hearing the full thing.

For now here is a few choice tracks.

Rodney P - Dedication ( summer 2001 nostalgia )

MC Dynamite - Double Reds

VARIOUS - Twilight of the gods ( Skinny at his finest...M U D! )

UK Rap was so banging at the turn of the century.

Post title is an immortal line from a dope British emcee.

Sad that hip hop out here is pretty much dead and buried :-(

Sometimes something falling apart can be a positive. Something better can grow from the ashes. There's already a few early signs... maybe.
