Miss Moss & Platitas

I'm always on the lookout for something new and refreshing in the music world, so when i downloaded 'Miss Moss and Platitas' Mixtape i was happily supprised. The production quality is extremely high and the content equally unique.
Rarely i hear current music that i can vouch for, but these two are a rareity in the world of modern music commercialism, so CHECK THEM OUT.

Bio-

North East Londoners Miss Moss and Platitas produce beats made up of a fractured collage of programmed beats, eclectic samples and analogue synths. Their sound is abstract and playful, but head boppingly good.

Miss Moss (aka Shamos) first started making music in his late teens while DJing with the East London Grime outfit Dancehall Mafia (which included Slew Dem Crew members Rage and Lex). In 2008 after studying Sound Arts and Design he had a sound installation exhibited at the Shoreditch Town Hall based on one individuals identity in a particular space that involved used an abstract sound piece designed specifically for the individual. Currently he is working on a photographic portraiture project and a new EP. He will also be playing a set at our very own Ollie Danger's club night GOT GOT NEED next thursday.

After producing the ‘Elders Music Project’ which explores the relationship's that people 65 years of age or older living in London have with music, Platitas has been hard at work on his first film score and is producing UK rapper Mowgli’s debut album. He has also begun a project remixing various folk acts.

As well as collaborating on a new Mix CD together they are preparing to launch an online arts and music magazine called Sweet and Sound in early July.
