Stone Island Shadow Project

Last night Stone Island had a little gathering in their Covent Garden Store for the unveiling of their Shadow collection.

Stone Island Shadow is primarily a system based upon the idea of clothing as a man's interface with his environment. Proven functional principals from both military and active sportswear allow the individual items in the collection to work both alone and, most effectively, synergistically together. The Grid is is independent of seasonal and aesthetic change. This means that there is functional continuity between all Shadow collections and items, regardless of when they were produced and/or purchased. Each item is an extension of its owner's personal system.

This project reaffirms for me the quality and depth of Stone Island. Good design, attention to detail and timeless.

Stone Island and CP are two of my favorite brands ever. From being a little kid and seeing it on the terraces and not being able to afford it has always romanticized the brand for me.

like nick I've got a real affinity with Stone Island. the concepts/designs which gave the brand it's legacy have in my opinion diminished over the years but projects like this are slowly helping to revive them.

Nice blog btw, could do with a bit more Adidas mind ;-)

Parseq Modular Performance Grid, each season is interchangable inter wearable with each other.
So ANY spring summer items of outerwear will have the required attaching loops etc to fit any Autum Winter inner layer.
Brilliant.
