Why the weezy hate? The cover is funny plus he pays homage to Illmatic and Ready to die.

Carter II > Any album that came out that year

I beg to differ 2005 eh; Late Registration, X&Y, The Documentary, Hot Fuss, Demon Days, Songs About Jane, How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb and ofcourse Joss Stone's best album; Mind, Body & Soul. That cover is absolutely ludacris whether or not he's paying homage to illmatic and ready to die (something which resulted in beef with Nas) the cover is still shite...rising down however is a heck of album, well the 8 track's I've heard, minus birthday girl.

Kevin. you've just made my blood boil. you can script this for our upcoming television show...

The Carter II over any album in '05?! are you out of your fucking mind? did you run out of McVities for brunch this morning?

Top 10 Hip-Hop albums of '05:

1) Common - Be
2) Kanye West - Late Registration
3) Little Brother - The Minstrel Show
4) The Game - The Documentary
5) Kev Brown - I Do What I Do

Best (Multi-Genre) Albums of '05:

1) Kanye West - Late Registration
2) Arcade Fire - Funeral
3) Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
4) System of a Down - Mezmerize
5) Gorillaz - Demon Days

'05 was a relatively superior year for music than most in this pitiful 'Noughties' decade.

for Hip-Hop alone, the top 3 can be considered contemporary classics (Common, Kanye and LB's). where does The Carter II fit in amongst these brilliantly composed and crafted works of Hip-Hop artistry?

i should shoot you Kevin. i should take you out into the Lake District and shoot you.

P.S. the new Roots will be another classic; they're one of most consistent and virtuous groups in the history of rap music. end of story.
