The next release from the Oil Gang label is very nearly upon us with the Cherryade EP courtesy of one of the biggest producers in the grime scene at the moment; Darq E Freaker.
The title track from the EP, 'Cherryade' has been doing the rounds on a number of radio shows for quite a while now and has been getting support by many top DJs.
Everyone from Marco Del Horno to Starkey to Spooky have been including this instrumental in their sets and mixes which features elements of Darq E Freakers almost signature sound that a lot of people would be familiar with from the instrumental that accompanied Tempa T's 'Next Hype' vocal.
The other two instrumentals on the EP include my personal favorite; 'Queen of Hoxton' which has been described as "two heavy riffs playing against each other over a bed of frantic kicks and claps," and 'Cape Town.' Once again both these tracks have been finding their way onto a whole heap of radio shows on Rinse FM, Nasty FM, Sub FM and Urban FM as well.
Be sure to check out the links below for more material from both Oil Gang and Darq E Freaker and keep an eye out for forthcoming releases from both of them in the very near future.
