In my eyes he's done as much for youth culture as anyone. His films have been an eye opener to the world and all the narrow minded parents. He showed them what the youth really get upto when their parents are away. Without Larry Clark there would be no Kidlulthood, no Skins and no W10.
He's probably best known for his 1995 film 'Kids', if you've not watched this film then fix up sharpish.
The film follows downtown New York kids who's lives revolve around skating, partying, drug-taking and sex.
The film i want to inform you about is Larry Clark's 2002 film 'Ken Park', this film is by far the most disturbing thing i have ever watched. The film is banned on most continents and you will never find it in HMV or Zavvi. Im not a supporter of downloading films but on this occasion i shall allow it, those willing to pay you can find it on ebay.

How would a 'noughties' film turn out...a little like kidulthood i think which would be gash. We defo need to see a new film from Larry.

Larry Clark is my favourite film creator ever
However i do not agree that without him 'Skins etc' Would not have been made. Infact i think it slightly insulting to mention Skins on the same page as his name.
I doubt the clueless bigwigs behind Skins have ever scene a Clark film.
I get the impression it is put together by some ridiculous 35 year old man wearing Billabong shorts imagining what the youth of now get up to.

Personally i thought 'ken park' was sensationalist and wack! Didnt develop the characters enough for me, something larry is usually pretty good at.
Larry Clark is the dialouge don so the only worthwhile scene is the one where they are having a relaxed threesome and complimenting it with some banter.
'Another day in paradise' does it for me!
