1948 Nike Sportswear Store

So the 1948 Nike sport wear store officially opened last night with a little party.
And to my surprise It was a extremely good event other than the strict guest list entry rules (if you wernt on the list or new some one straight home time for you).
But It reminded me of the old days when London still had the good hang out shops.

The whole event was just a big cotch, everybody was relaxed and mingling and munching with one another, while Press took photographs and the dj dropped a good variation of different genre of music.

The stores interior was very impressive, taking inspiration from the 1948 Olympics, which was hosted by England. The choice of location had baffled me as it being in a rather large garage, more or less in the middle of no where which just didn't scream sportswear.
But it worked very well, exposed brick wall, high rooftop and "minimal" post war features making it stay true to its name "1948".

The interior also brought back memories of primary school P.E times, when those apertures would come out from the wall and you would connect the benches and make some wooden transformer looking thing.

The 20% off everything was a good look.
