If you haven't seen the other Producer Series Interviews yet and grabbed the free downloads that accompany them, then be sure to check out the following links ...
Monday - Part 1 - Teeza
Tuesday - Part 2 - Mr. Mitch
Wednesday - Part 3 - J Beatz
And today the producer showcase interview and free download comes from Deset.
As usual I'll leave the interview and links to explain the rest.
1. First off please introduce yourself and give us a brief background to your work.
I’m Deset, a producer from Edgware, North West London. I make dark, evil grime instrumentals heavily influenced from Drum & Bass, Trance and Dubstep.
Basically gritty smash-your-tv-then-beat-your-mum-up bass with a fast paced drum beat and some orchestral bits here n there.

2. When did you first get into producing music and how did it come about?
Probably like 99% of other producers around my age (23), I started on the Music 2000 game on the Playstation. I then moved onto making midi ringtones on my computer when the polyphonic Nokias came out.
After a few years trying out all the programs like Dance eJay etc, I then discovered FL Studio sometime between 2004 - 2005 and spent the next few years just generally mucking around re-creating my favourite stuff at the time.
It wasn’t until 2008/2009 that I decided to up the game and make my own stuff.
3. What would be your one piece of advice for up and coming producers?
Make stuff that you like. Develop your own style that separates you from everyone else. Then get yourself on SoundCloud, Twitter, Grime Forum account etc and get yourself heard.
4. What has been your most favourite moment in grime so far?
Getting my beat vocalled for the first time (Marger - Grime Ting) and subsequently getting a very good response from it.
5. What can we expect from you over the coming months / year?
I’ve got a release with Mr. Mitch's Gobstopper Records with a few tracks including Virus, Troll, Grime Ting remix and Cameron (which is a collaboration with another up & coming producer, O.D.D)
