SHOW BLOGGER TOOLBAR

Saturday, 26 April 2008

Friday Evening

Hit Mybass first at Concrete, the tunes were big but the attendance wasn't, gave it till 12 and headed for Breakthru.

Arriving at Med Bar the attendance was also poor, tunes were pretty average (not sure of the DJ playing) spoke to a few heads and chilled.

Popped into the Kitchen to find a collection of old skool garage and other waste music..

Doc Scott was on at 1, a two hour set from the Metalheadz legend was sure to bring nastyness, and he did. A playing deep rollers and some horrible horrible music, the dance floor crew loved every minute!

Shouts to Jon, Emile, Boogie Dave, Kayliegh-bob and Cow.

Didn't take too many pictures....

the new new id magazine a whole article devoted to agyness deyn . . after first few pages it got boring which leads me to advise you not to buy this months issue (cool photography which is standard with id's since day1) but that doesn't save it.

just steal the issue from your friend, hairdressers, clothing store or just read it in the shop is my advice.

best thing about the issue was the last page ;)

Yesterdays nonsense..

Went back to Pictet early yesterday to shoot Lucy Orta and her installation art, and met a photographer who was shooting for the art section of the Financial Times, feeling inadequate I took my pictures and made a swift getaway.

With time to kill, I headed to Glorias, and talked myself into buying new half cabs.. having categorically decided that I DIDN'T need any new trainers for at least 3 months..

DSC_6256

With time still to kill I decided to text my friend to see if our meeting time could be brought forward, fortunately it was do-able, so I headed to Bethnall Green to check out a new shop called Imperius Rex (#75 Roman Road) - walked past it a few times trying to locate it, as the sign is a tiny sticker on the window.. When I got there I realised it was in-fact shut! But peering through the window I noticed Lemar & Dauley, Mishka, Mos Def's brand - name escapes me & Milk Cred and a few nice looking pieces. Reggie arrived and we went back to Brick Lane, dropped in at the Be True exhibition and saw Jordan & Q "working" at the temporarily re-located Nike:ID studio, due to a 2 week refurbishment at the one in Oxford Circus, got a few shots in the surrounding area and then decided food was needed.. With the BBQ of 1001 beckoning we resisted and headed for the Thai place just to the left of Glorias.. Green Curry with Beef & Noodles was the meal of choice.. HIGHLY recommended, it was incredible.

We then left in search of more photo oppurtunities and with the weather being uncharacteristically generous, found a few!

Sneaker room, it's alot it's alot.

I then left for South, and was home for 5 minutes before heading all the way back to Liverpool Street to meet Gynelle. Went 1001 for a Ham & Cheese (staple) baguette and a Mango Madness and went to the oddest cinema, the name of which has totally escaped my memory, Chill Mix or something ludicrous - where we watched Funny Games.. which I recommend, though not highly! Not for the mentally unstable.

More later, as I am now departing for another Canary Wharf based bundle of fun.

Don't vote George Galloway

his a fucking ass,

(im working backwards this was tuesday allow me)
There was me working hard in the library
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

when i was disturbed by some loud Aretha Franklin lyrics blazing from from the open window.

Me being the nosy black person i'am, i reached to the window.
Only to find George Galloway in some open top bus chatting shit, for his campaign with his main focus being on respect. HA what a joker

How do we respect a man who went into the big brother house,
wore female tights
pretended to drink milk from a invisible bowl
and pured like a cat ?

but what ever in it, as long as i know this man ain't running my borough i'm koshti

But hold tight the guy who chucked a ball in his head causing him to fall and knock himself out.

Where by i take you through one of my lunches.
Giving inspiration for your lunches and helping you to get the best out of your meals to.

but if you have any good recommendation for lunches, recipes, or any meals at that hit me up with them at,

misterlego@hotmail.com

and il be sure to try them out on my brunches & post them on bntl.

heres the first one steak PIE

1st hit sainsbury's and buy 2 pies for one pound
2nd one must get a small piece of cheese not no random piece of cheese or them flat pieces of burger cheese there shit.
dairylea triangles or a babybel is what i usually use.

split that shit in half (example below) as we wont be using a whole piece of cheese
(we need to watch that cholesterol people)
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

3rd Bung your pie in the microwave or oven its up to you 2mins and 15sec in the microwave.
i personally put it in the microwave as i like the way the water vapor makes the pies pastry soft.

4th Pop a whole in the pie and place your piece of cheese there, leaving it to melt inside
once this is done place some pepper on top
(no salt where watching that cholesterol remember) my proffered choice of pepper is the stolen type from mc donalds the size of the grain are just right.

5th you got your pie (heres one i made earlier)

Orta x EMI.

Started off in Moorgate helping to assemble a Lucy Orta piece in the Swiss Bank Pictet's London office.. Subsequently photographed the thing...

Not sure how much I'm allowed to show.. But basically, it's an installation piece to raise awareness to the ongoing global water crisis...

Complete with taps, buckets, flasks & life jackets..

Then off to west, where I met Reggie & T2 in the studio..

And while waiting for certain third parties to show up...

Vinyl is... Poisonous

Business as usual in Coventry, Vinyl wasn't ramping. Packed venue by 11.30, tunes strollin' off the decks, hip hop, bassline, dubstep, garage and more.

Birmingham heads ventured over, two Robs, Olivia and a few others...

The after party was a major flop and getting home was long due to wasteful taxi drivers...

I struggled with the lighting to begin with but here are the pix:
