Love recieved, repackaged and re-sent.
Some of you out there will be familiar with Hypebeast and more specifically LochNess, and even more specifically... his brand Award Tour. For those who have been sleeping, now is the time to catch up, just in time for the winter line.. I was chatting with the man himself earlier this evening about the benefits of the independent brand, future prospects and US export television (DRY). If you didn't see at the time, he dropped a very polished Lookbook that emphasised the ethos behind the thing... If you're lazy, and most of us are.. I suggest you just look at the pictures, and you'll get a clear idea of the hard work and professionalism behind the brand. Starting out with tees, and following up with belts, crewnecks and pullovers and plenty more besides the brand is one of the few promising lables to emerge recently (relatively). Obviously fans of ATCQ will have a certain affinity with the brand and the Tribe quotes that can be seen on a few of the designs. Jackin 4 quotes on the Story section of his site, I came across this, and thought it summed up what I was trying to sum up rather nicely;
"The Award Tour stands for a different thing for each and every person. Every person has experienced being on Award Tour at some point in their life. Whether it was a walk off home run in 4th grade, owning your first pair of Jordans, or graduating from law school. Each and every person has had their own experience with success in its simplest form and that is what the Award Tour represents. So just as Q-Tip, Phife, and Ali Shaheed Muhammad we're on Award Tour all of those years ago, we hope you'll join us and yourself on your own personal Tour. "
If you want to get in touch with Loch himself, I suggest trying his myspace .. If you just want to increase your knowledge on this subject, have a poke through the Award Tour website via that link, or the one on my favourites to your right! Either way, I emplore you to support the man! If you're familiar with the fashion based blog 'LateBoots', in fact, even if you're not, you should go and check out the feature they did on Lochness by clicking here.
I think I've given every link imaginable. This year, winter starts in November, so be sure to check back on the Award Tour website for further news on drops and such.
MORE SOON.
