Hennessy "Chase the Music. Own the Stage"

Hennessy continue to celebrate their dedication to music by offering Facebook fan's the chance to to perform at the Blues Passions festival 2012, and take their music from online to onstage.

The brand so synonymous with Hip-Hop culture and often applied to various peices from Supreme (whether they like it or not) has been sponsoring the Blues Passions festival since 1994 (ironically the same year as our beloved Supreme's conception). The festival located in Hennessy's hometown of Cognac, France will be headlined by Sting, Hugh Laurie, Selah Sue and will feature a special peformance on the final day by renowned Afro-Soul singer Imany on grounds of the Hennessy Chateau Bagnolet as a grand finale.

All video entries will be submitted to an esteemed judging panel including: Maurice Hennessy from the Hennessy family, Blues Passions festival founder Michel Rolland, editor-in-chief of Clash Magazine Simon Harper and Rolling Stone India’s editor Lalitha Suhasini. The judging panel will choose their top ten entries, which will then be published on Facebook where Hennessy Facebook fans can vote alongside the judges to pick the final two winners to perform live at Blues Passions, a festival that has hosted performances by musical legends including B.B. King, Gil Scott Heron and Ray Charles as well as Massive Attack, Moby, Andreya Triana and Taj Mahal.

The Chase the Music. Own the Stage. talent quest are looking for musicians that can bring their own musical uniqueness and dynamic performances to Blues Passions. Staying true to the roots of music and the Blues heritage carried out by the festival, all entries must fit into the genres of Blues, Soul, Funk, Folk, R & B, Boogie, Swing, Country, Gospel, Hip Hop, Slam, Rock’n’Roll...

To kick off the Chase the Music. Own the Stage. talent quest, Hennessy will showcase exclusive films from last year’s Blues Passions festival documented by Hennessy International. The videos feature backstage footage, artist interviews, live performances and bespoke acoustic sessions in the Hennessy Founder’s Cellars. Check that out HERE

The competition opened 9th April and all entries can be submitted through the HENNESSY FACEBOOK page.
