BFI - 55th London Film Festival

Over the rest of the month I'm making the Southbank my second home, ducking into as many films as I can catch. So, many film of the day posts too come! Lets get the ball rolling tho...

Guilty

Who don't like a french prison movie? Saying that, the subject matter was kinda deep to start the week off (
let you read for yourself). Philippe Torreton gives what has to be one of the performances of the year, while director Vincent Garenq provides an intimate insight into the trauma endured by Alain Marécaux.

Based on a true story,
Guilty is a slap in the face for the ideal of innocent until proven guilty, a concept thrown out when it threatens the integrity of a corrupt judicial process.

As far as I'm aware, most of the festival is sold out, but this is one of the few films where there are still
tickets, so be quick!! Highly recommended.
