Last night i was invited to the private view of the first uk solo show by
Ben Frost, which was represented by No Walls Gallery. For those of you who have never heard of Ben Frost.
He is artist from Sydney most well known for his confronting and often controversial Pop Art paintings. Using a ‘collage’ style of unlikely juxtapositions, his dynamic paintings are complex mash-ups of popular culture that savagely critique our media and advertising obsessed society.
Some of you may have heard of his
now infamous 2000 exhibition and art prank ‘Ben Frost is Dead’ which saw him fake his own death and was branded ‘tasteless’ when the art world and national media actually believed his demise.
(some text taken off his website www.benfrostisdead.com)
anyway enough of the talk and more of what you want some pictures
**cough PERV cough**
