My little brother told me about the Tim Walker exhibition happening at the Design Museum, so yesterday we made arrangements to check it out. I know of Tim's work through his fashion photography, a lot of his pictures are featured in Vogue and each one uses a very dramatic style for its settings. Tim's known for the way he takes the viewer to a world of make believe where stunning locations and over size props are popular among his photographs.
At the exhibition there were over 100 photographs spanning his entire career. Also on display was his sketchbook giving an insight to the way he develops an initial idea into a final fashion feature.
Below are some of my favourite images from the exhibition...
Worst part of the trip was the entry fee...
...BUT I most definitely recommend it. The Design Cities exhibition downstairs has a lot to offer also.
