...Come again another day. With such an awful day of weather and more to come on the weekend, parts of the UK are already flooding. It seems there's some truth behind all this global warming malarkey, so we should really be getting prepared for the "warmer and wetter" winters that have been promised.
So I've sorted out a few "Parka" style waterproof jackets you may want to consider adding to your winter wardrobe:
First off, one the of the greats for affordable basics. Offering excellent quality, fit and price you can't really go wrong with Uniqlo. I got two lightweight jackets for the spring a few months back, and checked the store a week ago to see what they had on offer.
Priced at only £49.99 this "Mountain Park" a waterproof and wind proof, fleeced lined bargain is available in Black, Beige, Royal blue and Navy.
The Beige has the nice addition of yellow lining. Available from www.uniqlo.co.uk
With Uniqlo covering the basic option, Wood Wood offer something a little different. Stand out from the crowd with this mesh lined classic parka with wood effect pattern in grey scale across the front.
Wood Wood a brand we've come to know and love over the past few years, has evolved from it's first season of crazy all over prints and colourful graphics and now offers quality well made products for someone who still wants to conform with the norm yet stand out a little. Available from www.caliroots.com for £192.
Cahartt another quality staple brand really making moves with an excellent collection this season, some really tasty jackets in there! (have a look at it here) I've selected the minimal "Cyclone" Jacket, ideally a snowboard jacket but it'll work just as well on the streets. Plenty of pocket access, tapered cuffs and seams and arm pit ventilation for those of us who suffer with excess sweat... (not that I do personally)
Reasonably priced at around £145 and will definitely be available in the Carhartt flagship stores in London.
An obvious choice for many the Supreme "Mountain Parka" offers the reliability, incredible construction and cool factor of Supreme in some refreshing colours this season including Orange/Red, Navy/Beige and Black. The contrast colour lining also sets the jacket off and the addition of the crest logo on the sleeve let's everyone know you're rocking Supreme.
Some may compare this to the Uniqlo parka and you're right too, they are very similar but the logo on the sleeve just sets it off for me!
No doubt it'll be available from Hideout for around £230.
Who's going for what then?
