A couple of days ago the very sad news arrived that yet another era had come to an end with the inevitable closure of Rooted Records in Bristol.
Since 1998 the record store had served as a crucial pillar within the UK underground music scene much the same way as shops such as Big Apple, Black Market and Rhythm Division and many others have.
There's no denying that this is not only a great loss in terms of the scarcity of quality record stores still in existence in the UK, but also as a crucial representative of the ever thriving Bristol music scene as well.
Best of luck goes to Peverelist and the rest of the Rooted and Punch Drunk gang with whatever they have planned next.
