Reigning Champ go back to their roots with this Spring Summer apparel offering, with some classic lightweight sweats and shirting. The Canadian powerhouse Reigning Champ, is the brand of CYC Design who are renowned for providing Supreme with the vast majority of their heavyweight sweats and have been producing solid, minimally branded stuff for a number of years now.

Gwarizm meets: Andrew Bunney

Gary Warnett's blog is synonymous with good rants, a penchant for World Star Hip Hop and magazine scans from what can only be imagined as an Aladdin's cave of 90s and early 2000s sub-culture refuse. He's caught up recently with Andrew Bunney. I first came across Andrew a few years ago from following the Honeyee blog. He has been in the game for a long time and can count Gimme5 and Dr. Marten's as previous employers and has been at the heart of British Streetwear for many years. Now working on two of his own projects - British Remains and his jewellery line Bunney. It's nice to read Gary's transcripts of interviews with other individuals who share a similar passion for sub-culture, these two have a wealth of knowledge and this interview is well worth checking out.

Tune of the Week: Tiawa Rewind

I have been working with TIAWA for a little while now, we are going to be releasing a series of remixes of her current studio work. TIAWA is a young artist hailing from Brighton with smoky soft vocal tones. She is in the studio of late working on her first solo project. As soon as Max heard TIAWA’S voice on the original REWIND he wanted to make this stripped down Detroit style house edit. The tune got very positive feedback from peers, so we decided to let the world hear it. Out soon on the London Based ‘Come So Far’ Imprint.

Carhartt WIP Shoreditch Store

Last night saw the launch of the new Carhartt Work in Progress store located on Shoreditch High Street, E1. With a familiar feel to the Neal Street and Earlham Street stores and stocking all the essentials and staples we all know and love from Carhartt, we'll now be able to pick them up the heart of East London.

UVU Launch

Back in November I was introduced to a brand named UVU. Having just a few samples to show me and some fabric swatches it was a conceptual idea starting to become something quite interesting. Fast forward a few months and a launch for the brand was set to take place at the Royal Geographical Society in South Ken.

Tucked away in the shadows of the Royal Albert Hall is a venue steeped in history. The explorers and pioneers from the UK who would chart some of the toughest terrain across the globe would begin their journeys here, including the likes of Robert Scott. A fitting venue for a brand beginning their own journey.

UVU is a technical sportswear brand, in every sense it's extreme. Tested with the best ultra-marathon runners in the world who crave endurance. One of whom is Richard Donovan a tripple-North Pole Marathon Winner, who has also ran 7 marathons on 7 continents in 4 days.

The brand has stood up to and exceeded the expectations of athletes like Richard but what underpins this technical excellence is a conscious and astute application of design and style.

Using the most sophisticated fabrics available, the brand has also taken the technicality of its performance wear and enthused a line of casual wear products. From body warmers to quilted jackets in a fusion cashmere that has been treated to be waterproof. Truly remarkable, something I've yet to come across. I'm unsure on price points but make no mistakes about it, this is luxury and with that comes a heavy investment but an investment you will not regret.
