Chevignon Togs Unlimited jackets

Classic French casualwear brand Chevignon is to relaunch in the uk for AW11 this season. The brand will start with relaunching their iconic Togs Unlimited jackets, which have been immortalized in THE FACE magazine during the 1990's.

For those unaware the brand, started in 1979 by Guy Azoulay, inspired by his obsession with vintage US outerwear. It became a massive phenomena across the UK in the late 80's and early 90's.
Togs Unlimited launched in 1984 influenced by De Niro in The Deer Hunter, some ingenious reworking of old ski jackets and a leather yoke giving a nod to US workwear and hunting.

So far this is just a small offering from the folks at Chevingnon but be sure to expect a lot more from them in the future.

Check out this piece on "young urban casuals" in the uk from a issue of The Face way back from March 1991. They talk allot about the impact of Chevignon and other brands on the streets and schools of inner city London.
