The-W-Project - Words Of Wisdom - Private View

For those who didn't know yesterday we celebrated International Women's Day, celebrated in over 80 countries its a unique opportunity for expression and dialogue about the social, cultural, economic and political issues that concern women today. Words of wisdom is the second annual Woman's Day exhibition W project, curated by the two extraordinaire women Loren Platt and Theo Connor.

I must say, yesterday night the fine ladies were all out in full force the woman to man ratio was like 8:1 something I wasn't complaining about.

Exhibition over view.
Participants have been asked to express their wise words on a postcard in the medium of their choice – anything from screenprinting and collage to pencil and biro. This collection of mini-artworks will then be displayed side-by-side to form a wall of knowledge, and give visitors to the show a unique snapshot of female creative insight in 2012. We hope that by completing their words of wisdom, contributors may inspire others and add something special to discussions about women in society, their working roles, lives and opportunities.

In total there was contribution from 85 females artists. All contributing a designed post card in various different art mediums, peep the flicks below.
