The expectations were through the roof and the line up promising so much the hype surrounding the event was massive!
Popped into the Rainbow first to snap a few shots, guest list thanks to Blacksmile, but one of the nights in Brum had to suffer with so much on and it appeared to be the Rainbow.. it really wasn't worth snapping any pictures so I headed round to the warehouse.
One thing I must mention is, Brummies look out for the New Era Store launch party coming soon... BNTL will be documenting the event so don't worry.
Back to warehouse, meeting Seeds at the door for the free entry was much appreciated. The beach was lively with the sounds of old skool Garage and the warehouse was filling nicely with Ramadanman on the decks playing a deep down tempo selection.
Clouds continued with the deepness but the crowd was outside on the beach enjoying the old skool garage. I checked out some of the Secret Wars art then headed back for a little skank to Clouds.
As word got round that Caspa and Rusko were on shortly the warehouse soon filled, the anticipation was clear as Caspa stepped up with his first plate at 1 o'clock. Supported by Rod Azlan. Moving through all the bangers, I mean seriously too many tunes to name. The crowd went fucking crazy. Energy levels inside were insane! an hour gone and the tunes showed no sign of tiring I had to put my camera away and do some serious skanking!
After the two hours had gone up stepped Reso bringing the energetic screw face inducing tunes he kept the crowd for the majority of his set but it was obvious most were only there for Caspa and Rusko.
As the crowd in the warehouse dwindled, people were back on the beach. Popping back and forth for pictures. Reso's selection got deeper until it was time for Tes la Rok. I had been looking forward to their set all night and they didn't disappoint, again starting quite mellow things soon got messy but with the majority of the crowd outside the atmosphere just wasn't as good.
I stepped over to the beach to catch Boogie Dave just as he dropped his own remix of The Specials - Ghost Town which went down well with the crowd then dropping some absolutely disgusting tunes. I grief stricken look on the crowd was apparent, massive shouts to Boogie Dave for the disgusting selection.
It got to around 4:30 with Boogie Dave stepped up and some old skool Drum n Bass coming on (which definitely isn't my flavour) I decided to head home.
Randoms and crowd shots...
And for the rest....
Massive night from The Big Dirty.
Shouts to all involved - Seeds, to all the Artists mainly Trav and 2 Pence. To the What? dubstep crew, Boogie Dave, Arjun on his birthday and everyone inside!
Roll on the next one!
