For the last 2 months i've been working on project with Channel 4 called Battlefront...
Young people on a mission to change the world. That’s what it’s all about.
Battlefront is an online/on-telly Channel 4 project starring a crew of 14-21-year-olds with big ideas, big hearts and big ambitions. With the help of experienced mentors and a dedicated Battlefront team, Battlefronters turn their issues into fully-fledged campaigns and set off on a journey to achieve something incredible.
One of the campaigners recently met Professor Green and he said some interesting things about knife crime in London. I thought it would be good to share...

I don't know much about the band Egyptian Hip Hop, but I have been following Hudson Mohawke for a while now. This nice little 4 track EP which is entirely produced by Hudson Mohawke, glistens with inventiveness. It was recorded on the same mixing desk as Kraftwerk used to record their classic 'Autobahn'. I would call it indie synth pop, done with style. Stand out tracks for me would be "Middle Name Period' the dance floor number and the melodic six minute climax 'Native'.

The diagram was first found in 'The Roots Of Dubstep' compilation which was released on Tempa Records in 2006 and compiled by Martin Clark .
In just over 10 years it's staggering to see how much the sound has developed.
It never hurts to know where the music came from and who influenced who.

Rude Kid - Hypnotize EP Release and Launch Party.
I featured Rude Kid's forthcoming release; 'Hypnotize EP' on No Hats No Hoods a couple of weeks back along with a selection of other grime instrumental releases expected for release in the coming weeks and months.
I think I can speak on behalf of a lot of grime fans when I say that this is probably one of the most anticipated grime instrumental releases of the year.
'Raindrops' & 'Always Ready' have been getting battered on radio and in the clubs for months now. Although both tracks are quite different they emphasize the broad spectrum of styles that Rude Kid is experimenting with in his current production.
The forthcoming release also features two other massive tracks entitled 'Peter Pan,' and 'Squash.'
The 'Hypnotize EP' is out on August 16th @ iTunes, Juno, 7 Digital and at other fine online digital stores.
To celebrate this fantastic release they are throwing a party for it.

We Dream The Same Dream
Last week Thursday was the first solo show by the talented photographer
Nina Manandhar the show was presented by The Firm.
The turn out was more than healthy and the vibez was great.
Nina's photos were pretty impressive, her subject matter of London youth was portrayed extremely well and clearly through her images without there needing to be any explanation.
It pretty much reminded me of some of my childhood days and how being a kid is the shit !
My personal favorite piece of the exhibition.
The Firm and grandma.

Adidas - No6 Pop Skate Shop
For those that weren't aware, for a short period of time the quiet Adidas number 6 store behind carnaby street will play host to Adidas' pop up skate collection shop.
Selling a pretty large range of the new Adidas skateboard range. It will also play host to a photography exhibition, showing the work of Brian Gaberman.
If skating's your thing it should be one of your main destinations this month.
