MEDIATE!

Big launch night for Mediate, every DJ smashed it across both rooms. First of all a massive thanks to everyone in attendance and all the good feedback we've had. From the word on the street crowd favourites were Jakes & Bar 9 finishing up the final two hours with absolute madness, leading to a stage invasion during Jakes' set and out right carnage for Bar 9's graveyard shift.

Room 2 bubbled over nicely though was over-shadowed by the sheer weight of the main room line up. Personal thanks to Everyone who played and travelled far and wide to make an appearance.

This is the one to reach this Thursday...

On October 1, 2009, Chapter 1 Gallery (33 Marshall Street, London, W1) will open its doors in London’s Soho. The first show, Genesis, brings together the work of six artists from around Europe setting a tone for the gallery’s aim of making London a center of contemporary art - with the ambition that this designation be made through the quality of the work shown. An independent venture, Chapter 1’s future exhibitions will show a range of styles, media, and creative format.

Genesis includes work from Stefan Marx (Germany), Mike Swaney (Barcelona), Mudwig Dans (UK), Merjin Hos, Samuel Francois (France), and Erosie (Eindhoven)

In similar fashion to that of mister danger, I thought I would come through and give some advice on some alternative shops in New York. For those looking to visit the land that never sleeps, in the coming months of even next year some time.

For those people particularly looking for a spot other than your normal flight club, Supreme, dqm etc which still offer quality service and a good selection of deadstock/ street/ sneaker/ clothing orientated items which will have you spending your cash.

The first shop up is shop called Coat Of Arms and is quietly located on
43 Clinton St

New York, NY 10002



It specializes in vintage and deadstock orientated American sports wear, street wear and some premium fashion labels, at some very decent prices.
I was advised to go by my newly found friend Raven, and I was thoroughly impressed with the pieces which they carried and hospitality shown from the felo behind the counter who i beleive was one of the owners Mr Chaudry. The stores layout and interior is pretty basic which allows 100% focus on product which I appreciated.

My pick of the bunch of items in the store on my visit, was these quilted Bally chukka boot type shoes and this vintage Ralph Lauren bag.



Other stuff available these deadstock Nike acg sneakers and Supreme gym bag



M.O.B Freestyles and Stussy dunk highs






They also stock a large selection of deadstock snap back caps and rl polo items.

I was in there just last week so, if you've seen anything you like or wish to know of any new stock they've had in and wish to make further enquirers just send them a quick message, by just a (click)

This may be the best way to keep abreast on items that they stock as there website isn't always up to date. They'll get back to you asap and once again prices are actually decent. And they tend to have those nice one away pieces which will be sure to break necks.
