When I met Andrew Bunney a few months ago we talked about the new project he was working on. Last week Andrew sent me the first images of his new label he set up with Daryl Saunders called 'British Remains'.
Printed tee's took a bit of a battering over the last few seasons, most that came out weren't saying much and the few that did come out that were good were from brands you expect nothing less from.
The workwear into casualwear saga continues but with the increase of production comes the rapid decrease in quality.
What i'm trying to say is..it's a breath of fresh air when you see a brand with a well thought out concept. This is how I feel about British Remains, the idea behind the brand feels like a two fingers salute to the shit that we've become accustomed to.
You get a sense of anarchy from the images used on the tee's. The Margate boys vs Harrow boys tee is my favourite and the brick on the London Brick tee looks like its ready to find it way through someones window.
Andrew and Daryl know what they are doing with this collection and I look forward to seeing what comes next...
