England U21s vs Wales U21s

With ticket prices only £10 I decided to head down to Villa park this evening with my Dad for some good father son bonding time, some live football and to see what England's best up and coming players have to offer.

Arriving just as the national anthem started I was pleasantly surprised to find our seats not far from the half way line and pretty close to the pitch, which turned out great as we got an excellent view of both England's goals.

A good all round performance from the England youngsters, slightly marred by the sending off of Tom Huddleston in the second half for what seemed to be a perfectly legitimate "fifty-fifty" challenge.

The score ended 2-2, all the goals being scored in the first half. The first came from Tom Huddleston's free kick early on and the second an own goal by Sam Vokes came from a quickly whipped in free-kick from Jamie O'hara.

Some excellent football played by both sides and some fantastic keep ball by England after going down to ten men, though the highlight for me had to be the Mexican wave.

Final note, look out for Michael Mancienne coming through the ranks at Chelsea, he was absolutely amazing tonight, won every single header and tackle and I didn't see him give the ball away once.
